The Site:
Nishkam Nursery in West Yorkshire.
The Brief:
The client wanted to install various types of surfacing in their outdoor play area so to give children a sensory experience. They wanted to offer a bright and safe space for the children to play so durable and porous surfaces were important.
The Budget: £12,379 + VAT
Equipment Installed:
• 98.28m2 Mahogany Red Rubber Mulch
• 98.28m2 Blue Wet Pour
• 69.6m2 Artificial Play Grass and Rubber Shock Pad
The Challenges:
The sub base was not suitable for the chosen surfacing so the decision maker organised a groundwork team to level and compact the stone in preparation for the surfacing install. This pushed the installation time back but it meant that the install was completed to a high standard and the client was very happy with the result.
The Outcome:
The project as finished within budget and the site has provided a fantastic sensory environment for nursery children to explore.
